Alexandra Cutean

Director, Research & Advisory Services at Nortal

Alexandra Cutean is a seasoned consulting leader with more than 15 years of global experience. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Advisory Services and Canada Lead at Nortal. In this role, she advances digital transformation through strategy, economic analysis, research, and implementation, collaborating with public-sector clients, industry, and ecosystem partners to modernize services, improve data and interoperability, and maximize ROI. 

Prior to Nortal, Alexandra spent over eight years at the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC), where she served as Chief Research Officer. Here, she led national research and strategy on labour markets, emerging technologies, economic trends, and skills development. Earlier in her career, she worked across the U.S. and Europe with organizations such as PwC, KPMG, and the European Commission, contributing to initiatives in clean transportation, public policy, taxation, and digital innovation. 

She holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Amsterdam (International Relations; Conflict Resolution & Governance), a Post-Graduate Certificate in Macroeconomics from the University of Queensland, a Diploma in International Business from Humber College, and a BA in Political Science and Statistics from Wilfrid Laurier University. 

Alexandra is passionate about sustainability, people-centred design, and building digital solutions that support long-term economic and social wellbeing.
