He is passionate about creating inclusive platforms where individuals feel confident to speak up, work as a team, and take shared ownership of safety outcomes. Sunil actively advocates for the integration of technology and artificial intelligence into modern safety systems, recognizing their potential to enhance hazard identification, improve data-driven decision-making, and deliver better, proactive safety results.
Sunil’s extensive volunteer involvement—including work with the City of Edmonton, mental health awareness initiatives, and the Edmonton Police Community Patrol—further reflects his commitment to community wellbeing and public safety. His leadership is defined by his ability to mobilize volunteers, coordinate culturally responsive initiatives, and empower individuals through education, dialogue, and meaningful engagement.
A foster parent, mentor, behavior-based safety advocate, and optimistic changemaker, Sunil Phool continues to dedicate his time, knowledge, and experience to building safer, more inclusive, and technologically forward communities where people feel protected, valued, and empowered.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity, and truth, we acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—comprising the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations—as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina Nations.
This land, known as Moh’kinsstis in the Blackfoot language and encompassing what is now Districts 5 and 6, is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
We recognize and honour the deep connection these Nations have to the land, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share in its stewardship.
As we continue our work, we commit to learning from Indigenous knowledge systems, uplifting Indigenous voices, and fostering relationships rooted in equity, understanding, and reconciliation.
