Megan Macadam

Director | WiQ Technologies

Megan Macadam is an accomplished leader, with over 18 years of progressive experience in the waste management industry. With a background spanning marketing, corporate communications, ESG, and now technology and innovation, Megan brings a well-rounded perspective to her work. Her ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and translate complex business challenges into scalable digital solutions has positioned her 

as a trusted innovator within the sector. 

  

A career milestone for Megan has been co-founding and leading the development of WiQ (Waste iQ)—a digital, compliance-focused platform that modernizes how generators, transporters, and receivers in the manage waste. Under her leadership, WiQ was conceived, developed, and launched in under 12 months—a significant achievement that required cross-sector collaboration, technical oversight, and a deep 

understanding of regulatory frameworks. As the Director of WiQ, Megan oversees all operations from product, customer success, software development, business development and strategic partnering. 

  

With a track record of delivering value through collaboration, creativity, and operational insight, Megan remains focused on helping industrial industries evolve—enhancing compliance, efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility. 

Megan holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce from the University of Calgary.
