Geneva Claesson is a strategic advisor with over 25 years of lived experience and technical expertise applied to help people and organizations thrive by seeing them as living systems—dynamic networks of people, processes, and decisions. Her work is grounded in the belief that true resilience and adaptability come not just from better strategies or data, but from unlocking the full potential of people and their relationships with others. This means fostering psychological safety, encouraging risk-taking and learning, establishing effective governance and processes, designing equitable performance systems, and enabling authentic feedback, curiosity, and active listening.
Geneva has worked across sectors with Canadian and global organizations and serves on the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), helping shape global guidance for valuing nature in financial systems. She holds a BA in Anthropology and Earth & Atmospheric Sciences and a Master’s with Distinction in Strategic Leadership for Sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden, a program affiliated with The Natural Step.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity, and truth, we acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—comprising the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations—as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina Nations.
This land, known as Moh’kinsstis in the Blackfoot language and encompassing what is now Districts 5 and 6, is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
We recognize and honour the deep connection these Nations have to the land, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share in its stewardship.
As we continue our work, we commit to learning from Indigenous knowledge systems, uplifting Indigenous voices, and fostering relationships rooted in equity, understanding, and reconciliation.
