Northwestel is a telecommunications company in and of Canada’s North. They are passionate about their home, and passionate about the people and communities within it. It’s is their mission to connect the North with services and products that connect Northerners to each other and to the rest of the world.  They operate in some of Canada’s most remote places. Of Northwestel’s 97 communities, almost half can only be reached by air. Their operating area covers Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Northern BC and Northern Alberta. Northwestel is proud to operate on the many unique and beautiful Indigenous traditional territories. It’s an area that covers almost 33% of Canada but is home to only 0.3% of Canada’s people. But to Northwestel, distance is all relative. Northerners share a special bond that makes them feel like they are never truly apart.
