Angela has been an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter for more than 24 years. She is also a Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional (CCIP™) through the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion certification program.
As a certified Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Consultant, she has worked with numerous individuals, communities, businesses and organizations to enhance equitable communication access and break down barriers in daily life for people who have a disability.
Angela has experience working with a variety of local and provincial organizations in developing frameworks, training, policies and strategies for breaking down barriers and increasing awareness when they are interacting with people who have a disability.
Currently, Angela is the Director of the Alberta Employment First Network (AEFN). She’s honoured to work alongside the pan-disability community, connecting with employers and Employment Service Providers to deepen conversations and connections about disability inclusion that help transform workplaces and make them inclusive and accessible for Albertans who have a disability.
She’s passionate about collaborative work that builds sustainable strategies for cultural change and impact by co-creating innovative opportunities and solutions.
