Claire Hobson HBSc., OCGC, EP

Environmental Scientist | Project Manager, WSP Canada

Claire is an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant and Project Manager at WSP, in the Nation’s Capital. Claire’s work ranges from assessment and management of designated substances and hazardous materials to solid non-hazardous waste auditing and emergency response planning.  

An Environmental Professional (EP), Claire is captivated by biogeochemical processes, especially those impacted by climate change, and the impact humans have on the environment. She is passionate and motivated to continue to learn and grow to further contribute to science supporting environmental health and safety, sustainability, and climate change action. Claire holds a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management and Assessment from Algonquin College which compliments her degree in Environmental Science and Geography (Carleton University), and work experience. Working as an EHS professional, and previously as a GIS Technician, Claire has over 8 years in the consulting industry, as well as experience in the research setting.   

When not enjoying the outdoors with her Labrador Retriever, Claire can be found cooking and baking delicious plant-based meals or finding fun ways make environmentally sustainable crafts with her smart cutting Cricut machine!
