Director of Trade Investment and Agriculture, Consultate General of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana
Mr. Ganga Singh serves as the Director of Trade Investment and Agriculture at the Consulate General 0f the Co-operative Republic of Guyana in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago since 2021 to present.
Mr. Singh continues to build Guyana’s economic development by successfully giving wise counsel and guidance to direct foreign investors particularly to those in the non-energy sector of the economy such as Agri-processing.
In addition to his responsibilities in Trade, Mr. Singh is actively involved in the Guyanese Diaspora. He is passionate about working towards creating a positive impact in Trinidad and Tobago for the Guyanese people by promoting cultural exchange and enhancing mutual understanding through several outreach events.
Mr. Singh has a strong background in Diplomatic Relations and has been actively involved in Government Affairs since 1988. He has played a key role as a Member of Parliament, Chief Whip, Deputy Leader in the House of Representatives, Leader of Government Business in the Senate and has held several senior Ministerial positions in the Government of Trinidad and Tobago from 1995 to his last term in 2020.
Mr. Singh is an Attorney at Law. He holds a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from Boston University School of Law and graduated from the University of the West Indies Law faculty with a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) and a Legal Education Certificate (LEC) from Hugh Wooding Law School.
