Researcher – Ecosystems Management / Environmental Impacts, InnoTech Alberta
Zhongzhi Chen has worked in various research and development sectors, including fundamental, applied, and industrial research. Zhongzhi is currently an Experienced Researcher at InnoTech Alberta and specializes in examining the impact of industrial processes on ecological systems. He has over four years of experience as a Project Manager in a water treatment solution company. Previously, he devoted his interests to the environmental chemistry of metals and metal-containing nanoparticles. He holds a Ph.D. in environmental science from Nankai University (2010) and a post-doctoral research fellowship in ecotoxicology and biogeochemistry at Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS, 2010 – 2014). He has been associated with ECO Canada since 2012 and became an EP in 2016. He volunteered for the Canadian Environmental Accreditation Commission as a Site Reviewer and is involved in the EP mentorship program. He was recently recognized as EP Champion and is also a Professional Biologist (P. Bio.) with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (ASPB).
