Keynote Speakers

Scott
McNally

Scott currently manages Green Energy and other special projects at Crescent Point Energy, where he focuses on emissions reduction and generating low carbon power. Scott was formerly an energy advisor for the State of North Dakota, a fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy, and was a White House Intern during the Obama administration, where he worked on energy and environmental policy. Scott also has several years of experience as an engineer, previously working for Shell, BP, and Austin Energy. Scott holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. in Energy Resources Engineering from Stanford University, and a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University.

Karla
Guyn

Karla is one of Canada’s leading conservationists, working as the chief executive officer for Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC). She obtained a technical diploma in wildlife from Lethbridge College, a B.Sc. in wildlife biology from the University of Montana, and her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Biology from the University of Saskatchewan.

Karla’s more than 20 years of experience have seen her travel across North America in pursuit of wetland and waterfowl conservation. As CEO for DUC, Karla leads nearly 400 staff across the country to deliver on-the-ground habitat conservation, scientific research, education and public policy efforts.
