Andrew Monkman

Andrew Monkman is an accomplished environmental, health, and safety (EHS) professional with over 20 years of experience spanning municipal government and the manufacturing industry. Recognized as a change leader, he currently serves as the Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager at Give & Go Prepared Foods (Mondelez International), where he oversees multi-site safety and environmental programs and drives the company’s sustainability vision forward.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Royal Roads University and is an active member of ECO Canada, where he maintains his Environmental Professional (EP) designation with specializations in Air Quality, Water Quality, Waste Management, Health & Safety, and Sustainability.

His leadership and contributions to the field have earned him several prestigious recognitions, including the McTaggart-Cowan Excellence in Project Leadership Award, the George Burwash Langford Memorial Award, OHS Canada’s Top 25 Under 40 Award, and most recently, the Fellow OACETT designation.

Andrew is deeply committed to giving back to his profession and community. He volunteers as a lead auditor with the Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) and currently serves as Vice-Chair and College Liaison for the OACETT Georgian Bay Chapter. He is also passionate about mentoring emerging professionals and supporting local charities, firmly believing that safety is everyone’s business.

This land, known as Moh’kinsstis in the Blackfoot language and encompassing what is now Districts 5 and 6, is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
