Over the past year, she has had the privilege of leading the Ottawa-Gatineau EP Chapter alongside her fellow EP Chapter Leaders. In this role, she has organized and facilitated networking events, volunteer activities, and community engagement initiatives, including the annual kickoff networking event, group hikes, park clean-ups, and shoreline/beach clean-ups. By planning and promoting these events, and sharing lessons learned with her workplace team, she strives to highlight the meaningful impact of the EP community.
Professionally, she is a Project Manager and Environmental Scientist on the Environmental Health & Safety Team at WSP in Ottawa. She manages diverse projects across the public and private sectors, including a non-hazardous waste audit program in Ontario, helping institutions optimize waste diversion and support climate action. She enjoys participating in fieldwork to connect with colleagues and clients, gain hands-on experience, and share technical expertise.
In both her professional and volunteer roles, she prioritizes leadership, mentorship, and collaboration, aiming to inspire teams through example, foster inclusive and engaging environments, and celebrate the meaningful work accomplished together.
In the spirit of respect, reciprocity, and truth, we acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—comprising the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations—as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina Nations.
This land, known as Moh’kinsstis in the Blackfoot language and encompassing what is now Districts 5 and 6, is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
We recognize and honour the deep connection these Nations have to the land, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share in its stewardship.
As we continue our work, we commit to learning from Indigenous knowledge systems, uplifting Indigenous voices, and fostering relationships rooted in equity, understanding, and reconciliation.
