Graham

Graham is a 100% employee-owned construction company committed to embedding sustainability into every aspect of its operations. In 2024, Graham demonstrated leadership across environmental, social, and governance pillars, driving measurable impact and industry innovation.

Environmentally, Graham added eight electric vehicles to its fleet, reducing CO₂ emissions by 132 tonnes annually. Concrete emissions dropped 3% year-over-year, supported by embodied carbon tracking and supplier engagement. Enterprise-wide GHG monitoring was implemented using Nectivio software, enhancing transparency and performance. Projects like Mines Park and the Edmonton-Strathcona Footbridge showcased low-carbon design, material reuse, and LEED Gold standards.

Socially, Graham invested in mental health, diversity, and community engagement. Over 1,100 employees completed mental health training, and 3,100+ volunteer hours supported 56 causes. Initiatives like “Fit for Person” PPE and Indigenous partnerships advanced inclusion and reconciliation. The Graham Cares program empowered employees to lead charitable efforts, raising over $2.3 million for nonprofits and education.

Governance excellence was demonstrated through ethical business practices, cybersecurity leadership, and the launch of an Enterprise Data Platform for ESG reporting. Graham’s vendor charter supported $105M in minority-owned and $65M in women-owned business spend, while compliance with Bill S-211 ensured ethical supply chain practices.

Graham’s sustainability journey is deeply integrated into its culture. By leading with innovation, accountability, and care, Graham continues to build a better future for people and the planet.

Land Acknowledgment

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity, and truth, we acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—comprising the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations—as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina Nations.

This land, known as Moh’kinsstis in the Blackfoot language and encompassing what is now Districts 5 and 6, is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.

We recognize and honour the deep connection these Nations have to the land, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share in its stewardship.

As we continue our work, we commit to learning from Indigenous knowledge systems, uplifting Indigenous voices, and fostering relationships rooted in equity, understanding, and reconciliation.
