Adriana Lozjanin is an Assistant Professor at the University of Canada West (UCW) and serves as the current Vice Chair of the Arts, Communications, and Social Sciences Department. She has been the Subject Lead for courses in Criminology, Sociology, and Human Rights & Social Justice and been responsible for curricular design and course redevelopments in these areas. She also serves on the Open Educational Resource Committee, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, and Artificial Intelligence Advisory Working Group at UCW. Addie has her Master of Laws in International Law from University College London and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia. Before academia, Addie was engaged in the education industry by working in standardized testing and managing a team of content developers. Her current research interests are cross-ideological coalition movements in the Balkans, the development of peremptory norms in international law, and environmental justice.
