Ibrahim Ajagunna

Vice President & Deputy to the President | Caribbean Maritime University

He holds a Higher National Diploma from the Federal Polytechnic Idah, Nigeria, a Master of Science degree from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Technology, Jamaica, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Sustainable Development from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. Ibrahim is a co-author of the book From Piracy to Transhipment, Jamaica’s Journey to Becoming a Global Logistics Hub. Ibrahim is a reviewer for several high-end Journals. He is the managing editor of, the International Journal of Maritime Themes (IJMT). He is a guest editor for Worldwide Hospitality and Tourism Themes (WHATT). In 2018, he was awarded the Emerald Literati Award for his impactful contributions to scholarly research by Emerald Insight. Also in June 2019, the Prime Minister of Jamaica awarded him Medal of Honour for his contribution to education. Ibrahim is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK.
