Samantha Grabinsky is a lifelong Calgarian, a Certified Career Development Professional, enthusiastic resume writer and non-profit leader who has worked in supported employment for fifteen years.
Since joining Gateway Association in 2020, Samantha has been working to establish the Calgary Employment Resource Centre, which provides career services to job seekers with disabilities throughout Moh’kins’tsis and surrounding communities. The CERC connects job seekers to training, career opportunities and peer support while demonstrating the value of inclusive hiring to employers across the city.
Over the past four years, Samantha has been focused on building relationships with communities traditionally underserved by organizations that serve people with disabilities. The work of ensuring that all people with disabilities feel welcome accessing services and find belonging in the workforce is critical and ongoing.
Samantha is passionate about her work, which she views as building inclusive communities one job at a time.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity, and truth, we acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—comprising the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations—as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina Nations.
This land, known as Moh’kinsstis in the Blackfoot language and encompassing what is now Districts 5 and 6, is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
We recognize and honour the deep connection these Nations have to the land, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share in its stewardship.
As we continue our work, we commit to learning from Indigenous knowledge systems, uplifting Indigenous voices, and fostering relationships rooted in equity, understanding, and reconciliation.
