Top Employer Award
On behalf of DIRTT Environmental Solutions, I am honoured to submit our application for the prestigious Top Employer ECO Impact Award. At DIRTT, we have not only embraced sustainability as a core value but have also woven it into every aspect of our operations, fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and employee empowerment.
Established in 2004 and headquartered in Canada, DIRTT specializes in custom prefabrication, seamlessly translating distinct visions into adaptable environments tailored to work, learn, and heal. Central to our design philosophy is an emphasis on disassembly, facilitating component interchangeability to enable effortless repurposing or reconfigurations without extensive renovation, expense, or waste. This approach reflects our commitment to redefining how spaces are built while prioritizing sustainability.
The market for prefabricated interior spaces resonates with the escalating demand for streamlined, efficient construction methods paired with an enhanced focus on sustainable and economically viable building solutions. As such, DIRTT continues its relentless pursuit of excellence in environmental sustainability—not only through careful material selection but also by reducing the environmental impact of construction through innovative manufacturing processes.
Below, I am proud to highlight how we embody the qualities of a Top Employer in environmental and sustainable practices:
1. Pioneering Green Practices in Operations
2. Empowering Customers and Employees Through ESG
3. Innovating for Adaptable and Sustainable Spaces
4. Transparent and Accountable Leadership
5. Making an Impact Beyond Our Walls
At DIRTT, we are extremely proud of what we have accomplished to reduce the environmental impact of construction, and we remain committed to making continued progress in areas such as waste reduction, recycling, addressing climate emissions, and promoting sustainable innovation and design.
Receiving the Top Employer Award would not only be a testament to our team’s dedication but also reaffirm the critical importance of building sustainably—for people, businesses, and the planet. Thank you for considering DIRTT for this distinguished honour. We look forward to continuing our mission of creating adaptable, efficient, and environmentally responsible solutions for the construction industry.
In the spirit of respect, reciprocity, and truth, we acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—comprising the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations—as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina Nations.
This land, known as Moh’kinsstis in the Blackfoot language and encompassing what is now Districts 5 and 6, is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
We recognize and honour the deep connection these Nations have to the land, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share in its stewardship.
As we continue our work, we commit to learning from Indigenous knowledge systems, uplifting Indigenous voices, and fostering relationships rooted in equity, understanding, and reconciliation.
