Andrew G. Smith is a trusted advisor and communicator in the Yukon government. He began his EP journey as a policy advisor for the government’s role in environmental assessment, and helped redefine the governance relationships between Yukon, First Nations and Canada following challenging legislative amendments in 2015 and 2017.

He has since moved on to positions in the intergovernmental relations unit and is responsible for managing Yukon’s relations with the USA, the Arctic and internationally. In 2021, Andrew received the highest award in Yukon’s public service for ending seasonal time change. Andrew lives in Whitehorse.
