David Brock

David M. Brock is Vice President, Energy Security at Crown Investments Corporation of Saskatchewan. His team is responsible for modelling, planning, and coordinating provincial policy on electricity, natural gas, and nuclear energy. Previously, David was Assistant Deputy Minister for Climate Change with the provincial Ministry of Environment; prior to moving to Saskatchewan in 2017, David was in Northwest Territories serving executive government as Deputy Secretary to Cabinet for Priorities and Planning and, earlier, the legislature as Chief Electoral Officer. David studied at Dalhousie University, the University of Saskatchewan, and the University of Western Ontario. David is a periodic lecturer at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and an editor for the Journal of Parliamentary and Political Law; he serves on the Energy Policy Council of the CD Howe Institute and is co-chair of the national Nuclear Leadership Table.
