Russ Erickson has over 25 years of experience in the Alberta technology sector building global sales, marketing and strategic business development teams. He leads the Investment and Partnerships team at Amii.
Prior to joining Amii, he worked with the founders at Nureva, a Calgary-based collaborative audio technology company, to help conceive, launch and grow the company into a world-class audio conference technology company. Concurrent with building Nureva, he worked through a sister company to invest in several growth-stage companies, including serving on the board of directors of one of those companies and advising the executive teams of others.
Russ spent nearly two decades at SMART Technologies, one of Alberta’s great success stories. He was responsible for expanding SMART’s global footprint through international sales and marketing distribution channels and teams on the ground in key markets, as well as through key strategic technology and go-to-market alliance relationships.
In the spirit of respect, reciprocity, and truth, we acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—comprising the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations—as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina Nations.
This land, known as Moh’kinsstis in the Blackfoot language and encompassing what is now Districts 5 and 6, is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
