Toyin Adekanmbi

Toyin Adekanmbi is a project officer intern at Albarka Health Spring Foundation supporting climate-health-related projects. Convinced that all areas and works of life are impacted by and impacting climate change, her transdisciplinary interest spans climate change, environment, community engagement, and policy to inform sustainability goals. 

Toyin’s previous roles were with the Government of Prince Edward Island, the Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation, the University of Prince Edward Island, Bells University of Technology, Nigeria and not-for-profit organizations. She holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from UPEI, a B.Sc. in Chemistry and an Advanced Diploma in Applied Chemistry. She authored peer-reviewed articles and presented her work internationally. She is a grateful recipient of highly competitive, prestigious international awards and scholarships, e.g., PEO-IPS. 

Training and accomplishment do not mean much to Toyin if they do not add value to society. Hence, she continues to volunteer for climate, community and humanitarian services.
